             					The Academic Support Center provides quality academic support for students at Caldwell Community College and Technical
                                 	Institute.  We facilitate learning by addressing individual needs, recognizing achievements, and helping students 
                                    set realistic and reachable goals throughout their coursework at the college.  All tutoring services are free to

                        Tutoring Services 
					
										Summer Tutoring Services will begin June 4th and end July 31st. We will be closed July 4th - 7th

											- Drop-in anytime. Appointments are not required. 
- You can also schedule an appointment with an Academic Support Center tutor. For an appointment, email
												twilkie@cccti.edu or call 828-726-2220. Please email at least one 
												day in advance. Appointments are limited to one hour.

 This site provides step-by-step instructions and information for math, science and technology, society and culture, and everyday life 
                            by using breakthrough algorithms, knowledge base and AI technology. You can even upload your specific math questions to double check
                            your answers.

 Online graphing calculator that is easy to use and great for visualizing math problems.
- Universal Password Manager: http://upm.sourceforge.net/
 Do you have too many user-names and passwords to keep track of? This website is great for helping you store all of the information 
                      		you need, so you can remember all of your login information. You can download it an app to your Droid or iPhone, too.

 This site helps you use the Pomodoro Technique® by breaking down work into small, manageable units separated by short breaks. 
                      		It will help you stay more focused on your work and increase your productivity.

                    College Placement Test Review
                    
                    	- Students who want to review prior to taking the college placement exam can visit the Academic Support Center to sign up for 
                        	an online diagnostic test in PLATO® for Math, English, and writing.
- Students can visit the Academic Support Center for Accuplacer sample-questions and practice handouts, NC DAP Math Sample 
                        	Questions, and NC DAP Study App information. 
- Students who want to re-take the college placement exam must visit the Academic Support Center to sign up for 10 hours of 
                        	required review through PLATO®.

                    	- PRAXIS®: Students who want to review prior to taking the Praxis® exam can visit the Academic Support Center to sign up for an
                        	online prep program through PLATO®.
- TABE®: Students who want to review prior to taking the TABE® exam can visit the Academic Support Center to sign up for an 
                        	online prep program through PLATO®. 
- TEAS®: Students who want to review prior to taking the TEAS® exam can visit the Academic Support Center to sign up for an 
                        	online prep program through PLATO® or can study onsite with a copy of the TEAS® prep book.
The Writing Center
					The Writing Center is designed to provide writers with the tools necessary to write and communicate effectively, thereby promoting 
                    	success throughout the college as well as in the work place. Visit the Writing Center webpage

					Computer and Printing Services 
					The Academic Support Center has computers, scanning capabilities, and printing available for student use. The computers are updated
                     	each semester and many have course-specific programs installed. Black-and-white and color printing are also available, but require a 
                        print card which can be purchased in the centers.
					Workshops
					The Academic Support Center offers a variety of study skills and subject-area workshops. Please check back soon to view a schedule
